You are warmly invited to a very special workshop that harmoniously weaves together the principles of Yin and Ayurveda, guiding you on a journey of self-discovery and holistic well-being.
As nature's rhythm shifts into fall, so does our internal landscape. The fall season, characterized by cooler temperatures and the gradual shedding of leaves, invites us to turn inward, reflect, and find balance. This workshop unites the ancient wisdom of Yin, a practice rooted in stillness and surrender, with the holistic principles of Ayurveda, a 5,000-year-old system of natural medicine. Together, they offer profound insights into how we can attune ourselves to the energies of fall, fostering physical vitality, mental clarity, and emotional equanimity.
During this workshop you will:
1. Immerse yourself in the practice of Yin yoga - a slow and mindful style of yoga that targets the connective tissues, enhancing flexibility and encouraging introspection. Michelle will guide you through her signature Yin & Tonic sequence of poses designed to support the body's transitions during the fall season.
2. Learn Ayurvedic Wisdom for Fall: Sip one some delicious homemade chai as you discover the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda as it relates to the fall season. Explore the concept of "Vata" dosha, which dominates this time of year, influencing our physical and mental states. Learn how Dinacharya (daily ritual) can help keep you balanced during this cold and airy season. Gain insights into dietary recommendations, lifestyle adjustments, and self-care practices that can help pacify Vata, fostering balance and vitality.
3. Personalized Wellness Insights: Participate in discussions and activities that help you understand your unique constitution and how it interacts with the fall season. Receive personalized recommendations for adjusting your yoga practice, dietary choices, and lifestyle to create a sense of equilibrium during this transformative time.
4. Herbal Medicine and Aromatherapy: Engage with the healing power of nature through discussions on Ayurvedic herbs and essential oils that offer support during fall. Discover how specific botanicals can help ground and nourish your senses, creating a harmonious synergy between your inner world and the outer environment.
5. Seasonal Nutrition: Learn about the principles of fall's warm and nourishing foods that help balance Vata energies, while savoring the opportunity to prepare and enjoy a wholesome, seasonally-inspired meal.
As the leaves gently descend and the crisp air envelopes us, this workshop is an invitation to honor the inherent wisdom of nature and your own being.
Join us to harmonize Vata energy and learn Ayurvedic principles that lead to a renewed sense of balance, vitality, and well-being. Open to all levels of experience and backgrounds, this workshop promises a soulful journey of self-care and transformation.
